Pictures and Video update Summer 2019:

Back in March and April, the church collected clothes to send to the kids. Some of these pictures are of the kids holding the bags that we sent each of them. The other pictures and video's are from a group birthday party we held for them before they left for their holiday break. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards the barrel and party. God bless you all for your continued support.

New Sponsorship Information (Sept 2017):

We have a much better handle on expenses now that we have gone through several midterm and holiday breaks and it looks like the annual cost to support each child is closer to $650. Sponsors have the option to support of full support (100%), half-support (50%), or quarter-support (25%). Payments may be broken up into thirds.
St. James is sponsoring 34 children and at the time there is a need for a few more sponsors.  For more information, please contact church office at (610) 282-3290.

Barrels arrived in Kenya this summer (August 2017) with items for the children:

Update March 2017:

The children at Vision Alive are now attending Joyland Boarding school thanks to the many sponsors from St. James.  In total, 29 children are being sponsored by 23 St. James families.  Below are videos from the day the children moved into the school.

While the sponsorships covered initial school costs, uniforms and such there are a few needs the children have.  We will be sending a barrel to Kenya with items needed. Please consider assisting with items or monetary donations to help with shipping. Items being collected:

Twin bed sheet sets

Bath towels (dark colors)

Vaseline & Lotion

Socks

All items should be at the church by March 26 to be included in the shipment.

Dear members of St. James,

God has blessed each of us in His own special way. We now have an opportunity to use those blessings to help the children at Vision Alive by connecting with them through our own sponsorship program. The goal of the program is to sponsor all 25 children who are supported by Vision Alive and in part by St. James. Currently St. James provides quarterly assistance for food which covers approximately 30% of their nutritional needs. This sponsorship program will expand that support to year round boarding school at Joyland which includes housing, food and medical care. We hope that you will seriously consider helping these children. There is a reason behind why God has given us this opportunity and it is up to us to respond to His call to help these children. Let's trust in God, and together, change the lives of these children.

Yours in Christ,

The Global Mission Team
