Project Comfort

Tied in Faith - Sent in Hope - Wrapped in Love

Quilts on pew 2022Project Comfort is a ministry that sews quilts that are then donated to various organizations.  In 2023, Project Comfort celebrated 10 years of sewing, sandwiching, tying, and sharing the warmth of more than 1100 quilts that have been donated to Lutheran World Relief (where they are then sent around the world where needed), and other local organizations to those in need.

Quilts 3 How can you help?

1. Pray for this ministry and the recipients of our quilts; 2. You can stitch a top at home (80”x 60”) – we will provide the material; 3. come to the gatherings and help to “sandwich” the pieced tops into quilts – no experience necessary; 4. cut fabric, we provide, in your home on your time schedule; 5. donate fabric, sheets (fitted or flat), shirts – anything with the majority of fabric composition  being cotton, label “Project Comfort” and place in the St. James’ narthex.
