Advent & Christmas
Advent begins on Sunday, Novmber 27. Advent is a time of preparation, a time to remember the Israelites who wandered in darkness waiting for the Messiah. As we enter the season of Advent, the worship space will be adorned with blue which is the liturgical color representing hope. Throughout this season of hope, we remember the Israelites and prepare ourselves for the coming of the promised one.
On Sunday, December 18, the Celebration Choir will present "Touched by a Child, Touched by a King" during the worship service at 9:00am. Being touched in a life-changing way by the Christ child is the theme of this unique cantata. It follows the experiences of Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men, and finally all those who believe today all touched by a child, touched by a king.
Worship services will be held at 2:00, 4:00 and 8:00 pm on Christmas Eve. All services will include special music and Holy Communion. Services at 4:00 and 8:00 will include candelighting.
Worship Christmas Day will be held at 9:00am.
